MAപണ്ട് എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ് പഠിക്കുമ്പോ ഓരോ അവധി കഴിഞ്ഞു ഹോസ്റ്റലിലേയ്ക്ക് തിരിച്ചു പോവുമ്പോഴും അമ്മ പൊതിച്ചോറ് തന്നു വിടും ,അതുവരെ സ്കൂളിലേയ്ക്ക് പൊതിച്ചോറ് കൊണ്ട് പോയ ഓർമ്മ ഒന്നും എനിക്കില്ല. ഇത് ഒരു കുഞ്ഞു പൊതി ട്രെയിനിൽ ഇരുന്നു കഴിക്കാനും ഒരു വല്ല്യ പൊതി ഹോസ്റ്റലിൽ പോയി എല്ലാരുടേം കൂടെ പങ്കിട്ട് കഴിക്കാനും. റൂമിലെ എല്ലാരും അങ്ങനെ ഓരോരോ പൊതികളുമായിട്ടാവും വരവ്. ചോറ് തന്നെയല്ല ,വറുത്തതും പൊരിച്ചതും ഒക്കെ ആയിട്ടൊരു ബഹളം ആണ് അന്ന് വൈകീട്ട്. അടുത്ത അവധി വരെ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുപയോഗിക്കാൻ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് തന്നു വിടാറുള്ള അച്ചാറുകളെ പോലും അന്ന് വെറുതെ വിടില്ല. ഓർമ്മകൾ ആവുമ്പൊ അല്ലെ എന്തിനും രുചി കൂടുതൽ ?
