SDWhat are do or die’s you might ask? Well, I am here to tell you. Do or die’s is the name of the skill in the outfield when you run up on a ball on the ground and have to come up and throw right away. This would happen when there is a runner on second base, and a base hit get through the infield. The throw on that ball has to go home to try to get that runner there.
The big reason we perform a do or die is to keep our momentum and power moving through the fielding process so we can transfer it into a throw. The one downside of this skill is that it isn’t as ‘safe’ because the ball can easily get away from you as you come up on it. That’s why this skill needs to be practiced and performed in the right circumstances.
