RUThis construction robot is 10x faster than humans.
Normally when human does finishing work in construction, they have to wear a mask because of the small particles that come off of walls while spraying, sanding, and puttying them. These particles slow workers down and can irritate eyes and lungs. Pace Robotics aims to fix this. They claim their robot can do this paint, putty, and sanding process 10x faster than humans can with 80% less manpower, and 3 to 5x lower cost. So far, Pace Robotics has completed seven projects covering 100,000 square feet. Their robot is also modular, allowing customers to swap out parts for various jobs. Their robot is also able to dynamically map out the workspace without a floor plan. Pace Robotics was incubated at the SINE Incubator at IIT Bombay, and they’re backed by Pidilite Industries.
