*ReShade is based on my personal preference, if you don’t like it awesome! Do it the way YOU like it. This is the joy of emulation and PC gaming, you can tweak to your liking.
* YES the game is THAT pixelated / blurry when played at OG resolution on a modern monitor then cropped to fit the aspect ratio of your phone. I am NOT claiming this is how it looks on OG hardware + CRT TV.
I am showing how it looks when you emulate it at default settings.
Please watch either of my “How Resolution Works” pinned videos and try it for yourself BEFORE commenting.
I promise you this is not some grand conspiracy to make old games look worse, they don’t look the same on modern hardware / emulation as they do on OG hardware. It’s not rocket science.
*Playing on OG hardware with a CRT is always great, if that’s how you play. Congrats.
*If you think playing another way is better, awesome I am happy for you. Play how you want.
* I’m NOT claiming this is the best way nor the way YOU should play. Take what you like. Ignore what you don’t.
*I set internal resolutions higher than my display resolution on purpose, this is called “super sampling” and does improve fidelity slightly.
* For Steam Deck, if you are running windows and NOT SteamOS all my videos will work.
* I’ve never emulated using a phone, unfortunately I cannot help you.
* OBS drops frames while recording, frame drops are usually from OBS, not the game.
* Do not ask where to pirate games
