SUThere were symptoms that I missed because of my age.
Fatigue-1 averaged about five hours of sleep a night. Burning the candle at both ends made it excusable that I was exhausted.
Irregular appetite- There were times that I could not feel full, but others when one egg would fill me up.
Bleeding anomalies- I sometimes only had a week between periods. Tangerine sized clots were pretty consistent especially if I was sick.
This made it so that my low red blood count and ferritin levels were generally excused.
Dental Issues- I had a root canal that would flareup and give me pain every once in a while. My gums in the back of my mouth would bleed randomly.
Thicker waist- My waist kept expanding even though I ate well and exercised. I also assumed O had fibroids.
All of the above symptoms I missed, because they are all also symptoms of perimenopause. I didn’t plan on going in to see my doctor for any of these symptoms singularly.

SA🦿 Synovial sarcoma is a type of soft tissue sarcoma that commonly affects areas around the legs, particularly the knees and ankles. However, it can also occur in the head, neck, chest, tummy, and other parts of the body.
🩺 Symptoms can vary depending on the size and location of the tumour. Look out for lumps that are growing, changing, or larger than 2cm. Unlike some other sarcoma subtypes, synovial sarcoma lumps are often not painful. If you notice any concerning lumps, visit your GP.
🔍 If your GP suspects synovial sarcoma, they should refer you to a specialist centre or hospital for further evaluation. This may include a physical exam, blood tests, chest X-ray, biopsy, MRI, or CT scan.
🏥 Treatment typically involves a combination of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. Surgery aims to remove the tumour with a margin of normal tissue to reduce the risk of recurrence. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy may be used before or after surgery to shrink the tumour or kill remaining cancer cells.
📅 After completing treatment, you will have regular follow-up appointments to monitor your health and check for any symptoms or side effects. If you have any concerns or questions about your treatment or follow-up care, contact your doctor.
