💥 Sciatica with Sleeping? ❌ Many of you find yourselves waking up throughout the night due to increased back or nerve pain. This is often a result of you turning over onto your stomach, or putting more pressure on the nerve is you are in a side position. We hear these comments every day and poor sleep only makings your condition worse! 🔑 The key here is that these 2 sleeping positions may help you dramatically sleep better with less pain! On your back with pillows under your knees flattens your lower back and may reduce pressure on your disc and nerve and you might notice immediate reduction in leg or back pain. Sleeping on your side with the sciatica side up reduces pressure on the hip and tissue around that nerve, and keeping the pillows between the legs helps maintain this neutral position. These are some sleep positions we have found work great for our clients with these issues, but ultimately is not a solution to the root issue! Two simple changes make a big difference: ✔️ Place a pillow under your lower belly/pelvis This reduces excessive lumbar extension and decreases pressure on sensitive segments. ❌ Remove the pillow under your neck Too much neck flexion or rotation can create unnecessary cervical strain. The goal isn’t to collapse into the position. It’s to support your spine while allowing it to relax.
