They’re the ones who trust themselves enough to act without needing constant reassurance. Belief shows up in subtle ways. It’s in how you walk into a room, how you answer a question, how long you sit with doubt before making a decision anyway. People who trust themselves don’t wait for permission or consensus. They decide, adjust, and keep going. Once you stop questioning whether you deserve the opportunity in front of you, everything feels lighter. You’re calmer. Clearer. Less reactive. You’re not trying to prove yourself in every interaction because you’ve already made the internal decision to back yourself. This has nothing to do with having it all figured out. It’s about choosing to move even when you don’t. Confidence isn’t something you wait for. It’s something you practice. Even the people who seemingly “have it all” struggle with their body image, nobody is immune to it ❤️‍🩹 (part 3) Just in case you think that being more successful and/or admired for your beauty would make you happy… Here’s proof that being considered beautiful or successful doesn’t make you immune to self-critical thoughts… Because confidence doesn’t come from external sources. Happiness doesn’t come from looking like (or being) someone else. It has to come from within! ✨ There’s nothing actually wrong with you (or them), but when you spend your whole life being taught how to be critical of yourself, it’s hard to do anything other than that. That doesn’t mean it’s impossible to unlearn though 👏 Just because we have our own perceived flaws, doesn’t mean we actually are flawed. You are uniquely you & you are amazing as you are. It’s time to start being your own cheerleader!!! 📣 My hope is that content like mine will slowly rub off on your subconscious & make it more natural for you to accept yourself. Catch the inner critic Pause and notice exact phrases you say to yourself during stress or failure. Write them down for a day or two; this “thought record” makes patterns and triggers visible. 2. Use the “friend response” Ask: “If a close friend said this about themselves, what would I say back?” and use those same words with yourself. This shifts you from judgment to self-kindness, one of the core elements of self‑compassion. 3. Reframe, don’t sugarcoat Take a harsh thought and rewrite it to be realistic, specific, and growth‑oriented (e.g., “I always mess up” ,I made a mistake, and I can fix/learn from this”). • Use CBT-style questions: “What evidence supports this? What evidence against it? What’s a more balanced way to see it?”. 4. Add self-compassion practices Practice Neff’s three elements: mindfulness (“I notice I’m hurting”), common humanity (“struggle is human”), and kindness (“what do I need right now?”). Research links self-compassion with lower stress and depression and with greater motivation and resilience. 5.
