GULet’s talk about sockets - something as small as a plug socket can make a real difference to how you experience a space and when you have a stunning Fior di Pesco marble splashback this beautiful, we didn’t want anything drawing the eye away. With that in mind, we enlisted the help of @henryvandervijver - a true artist - to camouflage the intricate sockets we sourced from Italy.
When Henry arrived on site in his very smart shirt, jacket and apron - the other decorators and contractors didn’t quite know what to expect. But it wasn’t long before he began working his magic, and they realised his smart outfit wasn’t just a front; hopefully you’ll see just how meticulous he worked and how seriously he approaches every job - whether he’s creating one of his elaborate lacquered walls he’s so well known for, or taking on smaller projects like transforming white plastic plugs into what now look like seamless circular stone outlets.
I’m so happy with the result and in awe of the level of intricate detailing that’s gone into something so small. It’s the kind of detail you might not notice at first glance, but it’s often these subtle touches which really elevates a space, revealed in a gradual way.
