SKIf a builder can’t explain their roof assembly, you should be nervous.
There are a lot of builders in Toronto who focus on how a house looks and ignore how it actually works.
This project was different. Richard Wengle’s design uses concealed gutters and zero soffits. That means attic ventilation becomes a real conversation. When we brought it up on day one, the builder immediately laid out the plan. Full spray foam to the roof sheathing. Entire structure becomes conditioned space.
No vents to guess. No condensation issues later.
This is what happens when experienced builders plan the assembly instead of reacting to problems after the fact.
Our scope included the concealed gutter system, flat roofing, flat-lock panel barrel, and shingle installation, all executed to work as one cohesive exterior envelope.
We’ve since gone on to collaborate with GES Construction on multiple projects, always pushing to deliver results at the highest level.
