Statement of Purpose is like a love letter you write to the professor. 💔 Two basic things, if you are going for research focus on the research work or interest you have in research and explain why you have that. 🧑‍💻 If you are going for more of a managerial masters, explain how you would use your skill in business. 📊 It’s an extension of your resume but you need to highlight the best of what you did at your work and during your undergrad. 🎓 Statement of Purpose is a gamble. There are multiple formats you will find online but I strictly warn you not to copy paste that. Please write according to yourself and get it proof read by some seniors on Linkedin if you can. You will have to reach out to multiple people before someone will agree to review your SOP. ✅ SOP also follows an intro, the fight and the win. This is the disney secret of all the movies. You should be following this. 🤯 1️⃣ Introduce yourself as a character and what you have done. 2️⃣ Tell the struggles or hardwork you have done up until now to get to this point. 3️⃣ And then finish it off by how this masters will help you to get to your goal quicker and better.
