HOLet’s plant a bulb lasagne 🌷🌼🌸
It’s been a busy few days putting together 12+ Spring Bulb Lasagne’s filled with different tulips, hyacinths, alliums and daffodils
This particular lasagne has @farmergracy Miami Sunset Tulips, @suttons.co.uk Tête à Tête Daffodils and Roseum Alliums - hopefully a winning combination of yellows, oranges, reds and pinks 😍 🩷❤️🧡💛
I am so excited to see what the pots look like! I treated myself to well over 300+ bulbs this autumn and the pots and borders are going to be singing in the spring sunshine 🌞
I put this little stop motion together to show you what I’ve been up to, the spacing and the amount of bulbs I’ve been putting in each pot.
I’m growing so many brand new varieties to me this year my excitement is electric ⚡️
Anyone else excited for their bulb lasagnes?
Choosing the colours I was putting together in each pot was the most difficult decision and probably why it took me 3 hours 😂

ROHow long do seeds actually last?
Most veg seeds will stay viable for 1 to 3 years if stored cool and dry. But some, like tomatoes, brassicas and cucurbits, can last even longer. And with the right conditions, there are reports of seeds sprouting after decades, or even centuries
So… what about these vintage seed packets? Could they still grow?
Well, realistically, probably not. Age, humidity and temperature take their toll, and unless they were stored in a sealed, cool environment, germination rates are likely near zero. But that doesn’t stop me wondering. These old packets aren’t just pretty, they tell us how gardeners used to grow, what varieties were popular, and what seed companies were offering decades ago
