TH🎃✨ This Halloween felt extra special because our little guy really understood the magic of the Switch Witch this year!
For those who might not know, the Switch Witch swaps out sugary treats for a special gift😉
Last year, at 2, he was still a bit young to fully get it, but at 3, he was all in and so excited to be a part of the fun! After a night of trick-or-treating, he happily left his candy out, knowing the Switch Witch would trade it for something he’s been dreaming about— and this year was a hockey net 🥅🏒 and some healthier snacks! He’s been asking for a net for months, so seeing his face light up was priceless! 💙
As parents, we’re big on making holidays meaningful, and we’ve noticed how refined sugars and food dyes affect his mood, sleep, and digestion. So, for us, the Switch Witch is about finding a balance shout out to @healthyplanet for always having better options for us! This also lets him enjoy the magic of Halloween while gifting him something that fuels his passions and encourages him to move his body.
Moving forward, the Switch Witch will always bring a gift that’s useful, active, and fun! This tradition is here to stay, and we’re so glad he loves it. 🧡

SWHalloween will never be the same 🥳 As a vegan and crunchy mom, I really struggle with Halloween candy. Most isn’t vegan, so Baby J is cool with avoiding that, BUT she knows all of the vegan candies and wants to eat them all night. Until this year! She traded her candy in for the Barbie she wanted, and told me she wants to do it every Halloween! It made Halloween night so much fun, and this morning felt like Christmas!
Yes, she did have some candy while Trick-or-Treating, and she chewed Bubble Gum as a part of her Violet Beauregard costume. She only wanted to keep one piece of candy before bed, a Ring Pop––can’t blame her 💍 I’m so pleased with how well this worked! NE🎃✨ After Halloween, it’s time for the Switch Witch to work her magic! While the kids enjoy their traditional candy haul on Halloween night, I make the switch the next day.
Those sugary treats often come packed with artificial colors, dyes, preservatives, and other ingredients we want to avoid. So, I trade them in for healthier options like Yum Earth, UnReal, and Black Forest—candy that are free of artificial dyes, corn syrup, and processed sugars!
