KAPlaner technical tip #17 (level 10)
When profiling the deck I lift off the surface at the ends to avoid gouging the foam (and ripping off the nose😉) . As i move towards the nose i focus on the far edge (tailside edge) of the cutting blade and when I lift off the nose to come back to the tail I focus on the opposite edge of my cutting blade to make my cut. (noseside edge) Manipulating what part of the cutting blade you use will allow you to really take control of where and how your cuts end up.

UNThursday Tip :: torque spec, Don’t Crack. After tightening bolts to spec, add a small paint mark across the bolt head and onto the frame/component. Now you’ve got a quick visual reference — whether you’re overseas or trailside, just line the marks up and you know you’re good.
Bonus: if the marks don’t line up anymore, the bolt’s moved. Simple way to catch things before they become problems. 👀🔧
