There are also credible links to hypothyroidism. 12. Track and test thyroid labs regularly: Work with a provider to monitor TSH, Free T3, Free T4, Reverse T3, and antibodies (TPO, TgAb). You may have to push for the whole panel, but it’s worth it! 13. Avoid over-supplementing iron: Excess iron can contribute to oxidative stress, so test your ferritin levels before supplementing. 14. Red light therapy: Numerous studies have shown the benefit of supporting thyroid health with red light therapy. I use the LUMEBOX daily over my thyroid. Here is the list of labs to ask your practitioner for: TSH, ft3, ft4, rT3, TSI (sometimes referred to as TRAb or THSR) antibodies. I highly recommend getting your labs tested monthly and having your practitioner keep a really close eye on things for you.
