Here’s 3 cues to remember: 1) if you’re shorter lower the cable pulley to forehead height 2) keep your shoulders back by the side of your body. The only movement should be the extension of your elbow 3) take a small half-step back for better comfort

Triceps push down is a TRICEP isolation exercise, NOT a shoulder or back exercise My favorite cue for the Tricep pushdown is “glue your arms to your sides, moving at the elbow” ❌ The Wrong Form: “The Shoulder Sway” • The Mistake: Bringing the hands too high (near the face/chest) and using the shoulders and back to “swing” the weight down. • The Result: You’re using momentum and your Lats to move the weight. This takes the tension off the triceps and can lead to also feeling it in your shoulders ✅ The Correct Form: “The Locked Elbow” • The Fix: Pin your elbows to your ribcage and keep them stationary. The only thing moving should be your forearms. • The Execution: * Squeeze the triceps at the bottom of the movement. Control the weight on the way up, stopping when your forearms are just above parallel to the floor. To get the most out of that “correct” form, try to flare the rope ends apart at the very bottom of the rep. This adds an extra peak contraction to the lateral head of the tricep! NOW you’re isolating your Tricep 💪🏽 #formtips #onlinecoach #strengthtraining #formcheck
