"The hike is 22km hiking the old route, or 24km hiking the new and not as steep route. We did the old one [which is] steeper but shorter in distance. You can also book parking at the upper level, but this is very expensive. By doing that you save around 2-4 hours hiking." The estimated hiking time here can last 7-10 hours. 🇳🇴

Planning on going to Trolltunga? This trek is definitely a challenge 🥵 but the incredible views make it all worth it 🤩 You'll wander through diverse landscapes, from rocky slopes to lush meadows, and soak in breathtaking sights of the surrounding mountains and lakes. The highlight of the hike is Trolltunga itself, a massive rock formation extending out over Ringedalsvatnet lake (which is not a fjord, btw) 😍
The round-trip hike covers 29 km (18 miles) from P2 Skjeggedal with an elevation gain of about 1753 meters (5751 feet) in total. Plan for at least a 10-12 hour trek, so be sure to start early and be in good shape. This hike is labeled as extra challenging, even by Norwegian standards. Before you head out, check the weather forecast and make sure to pack plenty of water and snacks.
Here's a few friendly tips before you head off:
🥾 Wear comfy, sturdy hiking boots
💧 Pack extra water and salty snacks, and chocolate for energy
🗺️ Download offline maps and GPX tracks
🌦️ Keep an eye on the weather
📸 Bring a camera or a good phone to capture the amazing views
🔦 Don't forget a headlamp or flashlight
👕 Dress in layers to stay comfy

JEWas sich da auf der Trolltunga in Norwegen abgespielt hat, war wirklich nicht schön! Unmengen an Menschen, die sogar für ein Foto Schlange standen. Keiner hat sich wirklich für die Natur interessiert. Alle sind nur für das Foto dorthin gewandert. 3 Meter weiter gab es die selbe Aussicht und wir waren komplett alleine. ☺️📷❤️

BOThere are usually so many people at Trolltunga that you need to wait in line for hours. Last time I posted a reel from trolltunga itself and went viral, people didn’t believe I had the rock for myself! Well here is proof :D

EV📍Trolltunga - did not disappoint. An iconic view in Norway… for a good reason. One thing I found out about Norway is that most of the best views take a lot of effort to get there. This one is a 28 km ( 17 miles), 800 meter (2,600ft) elevation gain. I’ve heard it gets crowded, but during early June on a weekday, we were able to enjoy it and take photos with only a few others around.
