TH🎥 Behind the scenes from our python catch with @wfla — proof that even swamp chaos comes with a lot of laughs (after the snake was secured of course! 😅).
Fresh out of the canal = SOOOOO slippery.
This snake was fighting hard to get back in the canal, wrapping vines and brush and making it insanely hard to get under control.
Then my feet got tangled in the weeds… and down I went.
All I cared about was landing ON the python so it couldn’t escape if I lost my grip. Cue reinforcements: Dave to the rescue!
Pythoning is all about the teamwork — @amandahollywx had the spectacular spot, I dove on it as it was making a break for it, Dave sealed the deal, and the camera crew got it all on video!
Sometimes catches are easy. Sometimes they are so crazy that even the fake shows wouldn't try to recreate it.
Moral of the story: Python hunting is a team sport.
