CGUBTech has released a video of what it says are Walker S2 humanoid robots lined up in a Shenzhen warehouse in what the company launched says is the world’s first large-scale industrial rollout of full-size humanoids.
Footage shows the robots moving in sync and boarding trucks for shipment to major manufacturers including BYD, Geely, FAW-Volkswagen, Dongfeng and Foxconn. Designed for continuous operation with self-swapping batteries, the Walker S2 will support automotive and electronics assembly. UBTech aims to deliver 500 units by the end of 2025.

HADas ist der Walker S2 von UBTECH Robotics. Und er kann etwas, das kein anderer humanoider Roboter auf der Welt kann: seine eigene Batterie wechseln.
Nicht ferngesteuert. Nicht mit menschlicher Hilfe. Komplett autonom.
Wenn der Akku leer wird, fährt er selbstständig zur Ladestation, dreht seinen Oberkörper, entfernt mit beiden Armen den leeren Akku, setzt ihn in den Ladeschacht, greift sich einen vollen – und arbeitet weiter. Drei Minuten. Kein Shutdown. Kein Mensch nötig.
Das Geheimnis dahinter: ein duales Batteriesystem mit zwei 48V-Lithium-Ionen-Akkus. Während der Hauptakku gewechselt wird, hält der Backup-Akku den Roboter am Laufen. Heißt: Er geht nie aus. 24 Stunden am Tag, 7 Tage die Woche.
Die Specs: 1,76 m groß, 73 kg, 52 Freiheitsgrade, 15 kg Traglast, Gen-4-Hände mit je 11 Freiheitsgraden, Stereo-Vision-Kameras, und ein eigenes KI-System namens „BrainNet 2.0“, das auf DeepSeek-R1 basiert und mehrere Roboter gleichzeitig als Schwarm koordinieren kann.
Und das ist kein Prototyp mehr. Seit November 2025 ist der Walker S2 in Massenproduktion. Die Bestellungen? Über 800 Millionen Yuan – umgerechnet rund 112 Millionen Dollar. Die Kunden: Nio, BYD, Zeekr, Foxconn, Audi-FAW, Dongfeng, BAIC. Die größten Autobauer Chinas setzen ihn bereits in ihren Fabriken ein – für Qualitätskontrolle, Montage, Logistik.
Und bei Zeekr arbeiten mehrere Walker S-Einheiten im Schwarm zusammen. Gleichzeitig. Koordiniert über die Cloud. Weltweit das erste Mal, dass humanoide Roboter kooperativ an einer Produktionslinie arbeiten.
Im Mai 2025 hat UBTECH eine strategische Partnerschaft mit Huawei geschlossen – für Fabriken UND Haushalte. Die UBTECH-Aktie? Über 150% gestiegen in einem Jahr.
Produktionsziel für 2026: 5.000 Einheiten. 2027: 10.000.
Teslas Optimus und Agility Robotics‘ Digit können das noch nicht. Sie brauchen immer noch konventionelles Laden oder menschliche Wartung. Der Walker S2 ist der erste, der dieses Problem gelöst hat – und deshalb der erste, der wirklich rund um die Uhr einsatzbereit ist.

UBTECH bringt mit dem Walker S2 einen humanoiden Roboter an den Start, der für den industriellen Dauerbetrieb entwickelt wurde, komplett autonom. In nur drei Minuten wechselt er seinen Akku selbst. Er nutzt KI für smartes Energiemanagement und läuft dank 36 sogenannten Freiheitsgraden, also 36 beweglichen Gelenken, auf zwei Beinen wie ein Mitarbeiter durch die Fabrikhallen.
Walker S2 arbeitet schon heute bei Firmen wie Foxconn, BYD und Zeekr.
Ich finde: ein spannender Schritt in Richtung praktische, humanoide Robotik.

LODelighted to visit UBTech - a humanoid robot company.
UBTech started out with a focus on developing humanoid robots for the entertainment industry. Over the years, it has grown rapidly and ventured into the automakers, advanced manufacturing, and logistics industries.
This year, UBTech partnered the Ministry of Education to support robotics education in schools. UBTech also partnered with NTUC LearningHub to provide AI and robotics programmes as part of the SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme.
I look forward to seeing more companies like UBTech set-up and expand their footprints in Singapore, encouraging the acceleration and adoption of robotics and embodied AI solutions.
