VIFor Protocol Officials and VVIPs (Recommendation Letter Method)
Despite the formal discontinuation of the L1, L2, L3 system, protocol arrangements continue for dignitaries. The following procedure is generally followed:
Obtain a Recommendation Letter:
The letter should be on the official letterhead of the recommending authority
It should be addressed to the Executive Officer or Joint Executive Officer, TTD, Tirumala
Clearly mention “VIP Break Darshan” in the letter
Include the names of all persons requiring darshan
Submit the Letter at JEO Camp Office:
Present the letter at the JEO Camp Office in Tirumala
Submit one day before the intended darshan date, before 12:00 PM
Provide fingerprints and a valid mobile number
Submit photocopies of ID proof
Approval Process:
TTD authorities verify the authenticity of the letter
If approved, you’ll receive an SMS confirmation by 6:00 PM
The SMS will include a payment link for online payment
Ticket Collection:
After receiving the approval SMS, you can make the payment online via UPI, credit card, or debit card
Alternatively, visit the MBC-34 counter near the JEO Office
Verify your identity through fingerprint authentication
Pay ₹500 per ticket
Collect your VIP Break Darshan tickets
Important Note: Recommendation letters are generally not accepted on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays due to higher crowd density. Additionally, during major festivals or events, VIP Break Darshan might be cancelled altogether to accommodate more regular devotees.
VIP Break Darshan Timings 2025
Understanding the timing considerations is crucial for planning your VIP Break Darshan:
Standard Timing: 6:00 AM daily (Monday through Sunday)
Srivani Trust Donation Timing: Between 4:00 AM and 7:00 AM
Total Duration: Approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, including waiting time
Reporting Time: Typically 5:30 AM at the designated VQC (Vaikuntam Queue Complex)

FLThere is a heavy rush of devotees in Tirumala.
Free darshan is currently taking more than 20 hours.
From the afternoon, the free darshan line is being diverted towards Silathoranam,
and pilgrims are being added near Gate Number 24.
From Silathoranam, devotees are diverted to the Narayanagiri waiting halls,
where there is additional waiting time.
After that, pilgrims proceed to Vaikuntam Queue Complex-2.
Completing this entire process and finishing darshan may take more than 20 hours.
So, it is highly recommended to take SSD tokens in Tirupati.
This will save a lot of time and help you have a hassle-free darshan.
With SSD tokens, your darshan can be completed within 4 to 6 hours.

WISSD tokens, or Slotted Sarva Darshan tokens, are free, time-stamped tickets issued by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) in Tirupati. They allow devotees to have Free Darshana with a significantly reduced waiting time compared to the traditional free darshan queue, by assigning a specific time slot for entry.
Tokens are issued offline only at designated counters in Tirupati city (Shrinivasa complex -Near Bustop
Vishnu Nivas -Near Railway Station
Budevi complex - Near Allipiri steps entry) .on a first-come, first-served basis. Online booking is not available for SSD tokens.
An original Aadhaar card is mandatory for each person to receive a token. A live photo is also taken during the issuance proces.
A limited daily quota of tokens (typically 12000 on weekdays and 18, 000 on week ends) is issued. Once the daily quota is exhausted, pilgrims must use the general queue at the Vaikuntam Queue Complex II in Tirumala without a token.

1. Special Darshan for Infants
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) provides special darshan for families with infants (below 1 year of age):
Eligibility: Infant should be below 1 year of age.
Allowed Persons: Both parents (mother and father) are allowed with the infant.
Entry Point: Supatham Entrance, near Vaikuntam Queue Complex (close to the main temple).
Timings: Typically early morning (around 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon), but it’s best to reach early as entry is sometimes restricted based on crowd levels.
2. Documents Required
Birth certificate or any ID proof of the infant showing age (not always asked, but safe to carry).
Photo ID proof of parents (Aadhaar, etc.).
3. Things to Carry
Baby essentials (diapers, milk, clothes, blanket).
Baby carrier/sling (strollers not allowed in darshan areas).
Water and light snacks for parents.
4. Tips for a Smooth Darshan
Be there early in the morning for quicker access.
Dress modestly (as per temple customs).
Avoid peak days (special festivals, weekends).
Use accommodation nearby to rest before/after darshan (TTD provides rooms).
Carry only essentials as security is strict.
