LUMy VBAC Birth Story ❤️
My first baby was born 3 years ago. I experienced intense labour pain, but suddenly my baby’s heart rate dropped and I had to undergo an emergency C-section.
When I conceived again, I was very clear that I wanted to try for a VBAC (normal delivery after C-section). So I found a doctor who truly supported VBAC. As advised, I started walking regularly from 20 weeks of pregnancy and began prenatal yoga from 28 weeks.
My due date was January 9. The doctor told me that if labour pain started naturally before that, I could get admitted. But no matter how much I walked, exercised, or even danced, natural labour pain didn’t start.
So I was advised to get admitted between January 5 and January 9 for induction — and I chose January 8, hoping my baby would be born on January 9, the same birth date as my first son ❤️
But on January 5, I suddenly got severe cold and cough. I was honestly very scared… why at this crucial time? Still, I didn’t give up. I continued walking nearly 10,000 steps every day and did birth-ball exercises with full determination.
Finally… on the morning of January 8, we left for the hospital with hope, courage, and prayers in our hearts 🤍

Family support is very important and literally they fought with the world to attempt a VBAC for a choice
Everyone around them discouraged them from the risk taken but believe me you can take such a risk in good infrastructure hospitals and team work.
Prasanna is from warangal and came to us for regular checkups from warangal every month with her strong will to have normal delivery and after speaking to her and Fathima who stayed 40kms away we decided to support their wish and both delivered normally under close monitoring and support.
It's more about preparing your body and mind for normal labor and staying strong all throughout the process.

Sim, é completamente possivel e seguro ter um parto vaginal após cesárea anterior para a maioria das mulheres, sendo a taxa de sucesso superior a 85%.
Aliás, segundo a renomada Instituição Fiocruz, o parto normal após cesárea (VBAC ou PVAC) é a opção recomendada no Brasil e no mundo. Só é preciso ter um acompanhamento e monitoramento cuidados para acompanhar a saúde gestacional da mulher e o desenvolvimento do feto.
Quando falamos de benefícios de um VBAC, falamos de todos os benefícios de um parto normal, como mais rápida recuperação da mulher, vínculo entre mãe e bebê, maior sucesso na amamentação e na descida do leite, entre outros. Além de eliminar os riscos de uma nova cesárea, como aderência dos órgãos à cirurgia, hemorragia no pós parto, dificuldade na recuperação, entre outros. LIas a mom who had a successful unmedicated hospital VBAC, these are 5 things I wish every mama knew going into this experience
✨ 1. your mindset matters more than you think | in the hardest moments, your mind will try to convince you that you can’t do it, especially after a previous c-section. the mental work you do during pregnancy (mantras, meditation, self-compassion, nervous system support) truly changes how you show up in labor.
✨ 2. labor is a physical event | you wouldn’t show up to a marathon without training, and birth is no different. movement and strength during pregnancy look different for everyone, but staying active (when cleared by your care team) can make a huge difference. if you’re unsure how to move safely, find a qualified professional to guide you.
✨ 3. just because interventions exist doesn’t mean you have to use them | hospitals get a bad rap, but knowledge is power. the more you understand all options, what you want and what you don’t, the more confidently you can advocate for yourself. birth plans help, and flexibility matters, but that education has to happen before you’re in pain.
✨ 4. your care team is so important | interview providers. ask questions. trust your gut. make sure the vibes are vibing. i truly believe my VBAC wouldn’t have happened without my supportive midwife and doula in my corner.
✨ 5. bring comfort with you | music, oils, your own pillow, soft lighting; whatever helps you feel safe and grounded. i even had my midwife advocate for a room with a tub because i knew warm water was non-negotiable for me.
every birth is different, but you deserve to feel informed, supported, and empowered in yours. this isn’t medical advice, just lived experience. if you’re preparing for a VBAC, you’re not alone. trust your body, build your team, and do the prep 🫶🏽

BRThe most healing experience ever ❤️🩹 weeks leading up to my delivery I was so stressed. I was so thankful my friend Kelsey gifted me acupuncture appointments to help settle my nerves.
