FO1st prototype testing for the @beyondpowerofficial voltra mount. I need to adjust that mag pin hole a tad. It’s currently set up for 3x3 rack. I think im going to create a slim shim for 75x75.
With that treaded bolt, it’s not going anywhere. ✅

TH1:2 Ratio Cable Solution for Voltra 1
Now that this method of doubling what you already have was popularized by creators such as @kaizendiygym the main concern in the home gym community has been the potential wearing down of the unit’s cable long term… double resistance sounds great but if you are worried about any potential damage to the cable, I GOT YOU! 😉
The Voltra 1 by @beyondpowerofficial definitely has enough resistance for low rows, but this is simply a demonstration of a potential solution for low position cable exercises!
I had already been working on this solution as I had the same concern for long term use! Just had to dial in a set up that worked WELL, not just something that got by…
Things to consider:
🔹 As you will use an additional cable, you now have the ability to feed it through a regular pulley for attaching your handle. Using a regular high pulley is ideal as even the regular pulley cables don’t do too well with smaller diameters.
🔹The height of your rack may limit how much range of motion you will have access to. The taller the rack, the better. Although you could also place the Voltra 1 at the top on the opposing end to increase the distance from the unit to the pulley.
🔹Use a cable length that is slightly shorter than your rack height. In my case, I have a 94 inch rack, so I used a 90 inch cable.
🔹I used a @bulletpulley as my preference for the pulley as it provides more stability and allows for a lower pulley position, although you could also use two @fandfsteel pulley pins, and attach a pulley to the top pin.
