A platform rose at its center.
A foundation brick was placed
by sacred hands in 1588.
Then the walls rose.
Then the marble came.
Then the dome. 🕌
Four doors — one on every side.
Open to every human being.
Every faith. Every caste.
Every soul on earth.
For over 200 years —
it stood in white marble.
Beautiful. Sacred. Complete.
Then came 1830.
Master craftsmen arrived
with something extraordinary. ✨
750 kilograms.
Pure 24 karat gold.
Applied entirely by hand.
Sheet by sheet.
Panel by panel.
The white marble
disappeared beneath gold.
And when the dome
turned completely gold —
something happened
to the sacred water below.
The reflection appeared.
The entire Amrit Sarovar —
154.5 meters of sacred still water —
turned from silver to gold. 💛
