כמה דגשים חשובים:
1. אין חשיבות לאיזה סופר תלכו, כולם טובים. Waitrose ו- M&S נחשבים קצת יותר מפונפנים אבל גם יהיה בהם הכל!
2. ברור שניתן להשיג כמעט הכל גם בארץ, השאלה היא באיזו קלות ובאיזה מחיר. אני מוצאת את עצמי לא פעם ולא פעמיים נסחבת עד לחנות ספציפית שנמצאת רק בדרום ת''א להשיג את הרכיב האחד הזה. בלונדון הכל בהישג יד ובמחירים מעולים.
3. Crumpets הם סוג של לחמניה מחוררת.
אין לה את החמיצות של הלחוח והיא כלי קיבול נפלא לכל ממרח שתרצו. ניתן לשמור בפריזר, חובה לשים בטוסטר כדי לממש את הפוטנציאל שלהם ולאכול חם. אני אוהבת במיוחד עם חמאה, דבש ומלח מלדון.
4. פיקלילי- זה או שאתה אוהב או שאתה שונא.
5. תמצית אלדר-פלאוור (סמבוק בעברית)- כאן, חד פעמי אני כן אומרת שהמותג משנה! קחו רק את התמצית של green bottle ושימו לב שלקחתם את הcordial ולא את הpresse.
מוזגים מעט בכוס ומדללים עם ספרייט/טוניק/סודה/שמפניה
6. אין על הסיידרים באנגליה. לי אישית נמאס מהsomersby שמוכרים בארץ. שימו לב שאתם לוקחים סיידר מוגז כי יש גם סוגים שהם לא.
7. ולגבי האורז למיקרו שלי 😂 אל תשפטו. אני מכורה לאורז וככה זה מוכן תוך 2 דקות.

DIA fun twist on a British classic, watch as @angelacooking makes this colourful, sticky sausage and apple braise! 🍴🍎

1 tbsp olive oil
6 No.1 British Free Range Wild Garlic Pork Sausages
2 red onions, cut through the root into thin wedges
1 Waitrose Jazz Apple, cut into thin wedges
250ml fresh chicken stock
1 tbsp wholegrain mustard
1 tsp clear honey
3 sprigs thyme
Mashed potato, polenta or cooked Puy lentils, to serve (optional)
1. Preheat the oven to 200ºC, gas mark 6. Heat the oil in a large ovenproof frying pan over a medium-high heat. Fry the sausages for 7-8 minutes, turning often, until they’re browned. Lift out of the pan and set aside.
2. Add the onions and apple to the pan, season, then turn the heat to high. Fry for 6-7 minutes until taking on some colour, then stir in the stock, mustard, honey and thyme.
3. Nestle the sausages back into the pan, scatter over some freshly ground black pepper and roast for 20 minutes until cooked through, there is no pink meat remaining and the juices run clear. (If you don’t have an ovenproof frying pan, transfer everything to a baking dish before roasting.)
4. Remove the pan from the oven and discard the thyme sprigs. Serve with mashed potato, polenta or lentils, if liked.
