Because if that machine jam up, thread gets stuck, or some other malfunction, that can totally mess up your workflow! You could have 10 wigs to finish today, or even just a wig for a customer and the customer is coming to pick the wig up in an hour. If the machine stops working, and you don’t know how to fix it you’ll be just as stuck as the thread caught around the bobbin case! I have a Techsew810 with the wig making attachment. Right here my machine hit something hard. I have no idea what it is, but the hook was not catching the thread anymore so I had to open up the machine and adjust the timing. Industrial machines are so much faster and efficient to use for wig making but a whole bunch of random malfunctions will happen inevitably and you have to know how to fix it. And yes, it’s convenient to call a technician to come and fix it, but they’re not always available when you need them and they’re expensive. If you want to be serious about being a wig maker and using an industrial machine, you have to also become well-versed in servicing your own machine.

Not everything cheap is worth it… especially when it comes to your tools.💇🏾‍♀️ I used to buy the cheaper wig stands just to save a little money… but they don’t last, they get loose, and it makes your work harder than it needs to be. This one? I’ve had mine for almost 2 years and it still holds up so good I had to get another. As a wig maker, your setup matters just as much as your skill.
