LTTransforming this open attic space into a lounge area where our clients could hang with their friends and entertain called for combining many different materials, finishes and warm tones to create a sophisticated space that is welcoming and most of all doesn’t feel like an attic. With all of the straight lines and angles in the ceiling we really wanted to add contrast by incorporating soft curves in the furniture and plush fabrics such as velvet, Italian leather, bouchle and mohair. Here’s a peek at the design process … our favorites are the 3 white oversized globe pendants and the limewash paint on the walls ☺️

OLСвежая книга американской студии @workstead с их общественными проектами: пара классических отелей, пара ресторанов, винный бар, пекарня, загородный клуб, закрытый клуб с баром и залом торжеств — всего 9 проектов. К каждому проекту да планировка.
Что бросилось в глаза: многие фрагменты этих интерьеров выглядят как жилые комнаты. Номера и холлы отелей, комнаты в загородных клубах напоминают спальни, гостиные, столовые, уголки для отдыха, для чтения, домашние гостиные и тд. И это не случайность, это тренд: люди хотят в таких местах чувствовать себя как дома, только лучше.
Ну и стилистика у этих дизайнеров востребованная: интерьеры современные, достаточно спокойные, но не авангардные, с вниманием к материалам и деталям.

STFeeling stuck?? Feeling like it’s hard to move forward?
We’ve all been there!
Sometimes when people are stuck, it’s because there are mixed feelings about something. The feelings compete with each other and it makes it really hard to know what to do and how to feel.
So we get stuck in this vortex of competing emotions.
When this happens, it’s hard to think clearly. Our thoughts constrict, we feel lost, and it’s hard to see the big picture.
When this happens, take a break. Your thoughts and feelings need a re-set.
How to RESET:
Take a real break. Go outside, get some fresh air, and really separate from the problem or concern.
Give yourself at least 24 hours away from the issue (if possible!).
Journal and try to understand your feelings underneath the issue.
Many times when people feel stuck and there are competing feelings, you want what you also fear.
Once you understand the deeper emotions, you can use the rational part of your mind to try to sort through things.
If talking to a friend, professional, or colleague is helpful, that’s another option.
