This is why you should never use bright LED lights in your home. LED lights are in almost every household, but what if I told you they can be slowly poisoning your body day by day? Traditional light sources like the sun, fire, and even old-school incandescent bulbs emit infrared light, which actually boosts cellular energy and repair. But LEDs? They expose you only to blue light. Studies show that prolonged exposure accelerates aging, disrupts neurotransmitters in the brain, and impairs your mitochondria. No wonder so many people feel constantly tired and drained indoors. LED bulbs also flicker at high speeds—too fast for your eyes to notice, but enough to stress your brain and nervous system. This is especially important at night when your body is supposed to restore and repair. Bright LED lights suppress melatonin production, the hormone that controls your sleep cycle and triggers that repair process. Without proper melatonin levels, your sleep quality tanks, your immune system weakens, and your body ages faster. This is why I only use red light bulbs in my bedroom. So if you want me to send you the link to the exact bulbs I use, just comment the word "LIGHT" below and I'll send it to you for free. #healthhacks #sleepoptimization #blueLight #biohacking #circadianrhythm

Old street lamps used warm incandescent or sodium style bulbs that sat much closer to firelight and sunset on the spectrum. Low blue light, less glow and reduced glare. They allowed your eyes and brain to wind down and let melatonin rise naturally, which helps the nervous system slow down properly. That is why when you look at old videos with these lights it has that nostalgic, calm, cosy, and strangely comforting feeling. Modern street lighting is almost entirely LED, which is blue heavy, visually harsh on your eyes, and far more disruptive to circadian rhythm. On top of that, many of these lights are now have sensors or are even 5G data connected, adding another layer of constant stimulation in an already overwhelming world. Reject modernity. Embrace tradition. • • • #Fyp #health #bluelight #circadianrhythm #primal

Have you noticed how sleep disorders and anxiety are going through the roof? It’s not just bad luck. it’s our screens. Harvard research shows blue light at night cuts melatonin by nearly half and delays sleep by up to 3 hours. But I’ve got the antidote: I interviewed Tristan Scott from Daylight Computer Co. on my podcast, a guy building nature-aligned screens that ditch blue light while you still enjoy your tech. Want to feel human again, not hypnotized by your phone? Our nights used to be dark. Humans lived with the sun, using fire and candles for light. In that environment the pineal gland produced melatonin properly and our circadian rhythm stayed aligned. Today artificial light is everywhere. Phones, TVs, tablets and LED lights expose us to blue light late into the night. This constant exposure disrupts circadian rhythm, harms metabolic health, damages mitochondria and contributes to weight gain. Here is how to fix it 👇 1. Get morning sunlight. The more sunlight you get early in the day, the more melatonin your body produces at night. 2. Change your lighting at night. Use red spectrum lighting or candles after sunset. 3. Wear blue light blocking glasses designed to filter blue light. #health #bluelight

Airplanes are one of the highest blue light environments you’ll ever sit in. Overhead LED panels blasting directly into your eyes for hours. Every screen around you — seatback TVs, laptops, phones — all pumping 400-500nm blue light into your retina at close range in a dark cabin where your pupils are fully dilated. Dilated pupils mean MORE blue light penetrating deeper into your brain. Now add the fact that you’re flying at 35,000 feet where you’re already exposed to elevated cosmic radiation. Your body is under stress. Your circadian rhythm is already confused from crossing time zones. And you’re flooding your system with the exact wavelength of light that suppresses melatonin production and tells your brain it’s noon when it’s not. This is why you land feeling destroyed. It’s not just jet lag. It’s hours of unfiltered blue light exposure in a pressurized metal tube with zero natural light to offset it. Red lens blue light glasses block the full 400-500nm spectrum. Put them on the second you board. Your melatonin stays intact, your circadian rhythm doesn’t get scrambled as hard, and you land feeling like a different person than everyone else stumbling off that plane with brain fog and bloodshot eyes. If you have kids in college, these are the six items I would prioritize the most: Ditch the AirPods. Microwaves cook food at 2.4 GHz. AirPods run at the same frequency, except they sit directly against the brain for hours. Swap them for EMF-protected air tube headphones or a simple wired pair. My favorites are those from @safesleeve and @defendershield . Keep laptops off the lap. The combination of heat and EMFs goes directly into the gut and reproductive organs. A laptop board such as those from @defendershield or @safesleeve is a safer way to work. Block blue light. College students spend late nights on screens. Artificial light at night wrecks your sleep, hormones, blood sugar, and immune system. Without blue light protection, sleep quality and focus take a hit. A screen filter (like those from @getocushield for phones & computers/tablets) or blue light blocking glasses can protect their circadian rhythm and eye health. Use an EMF-safe phone case. Phones constantly emit radiation, even when sitting in a pocket. A case like @safesleeve helps create a safer barrier. If you want the best EMF protection, get a protective cube or device for their dorm room that protects from cell towers, 5g signals, WiFi, etc like those at @blushield_official (discount code ANGELA10). Provide clean water. At the very least, give them a filter pitcher for the dorm fridge. Skip plastic water bottles that leach chemicals, and make sure for hot drinks they use a safe stainless-steel cup like a @yeti or @hydroflask or @lifefactory—never regular plastic or cheap metal that releases toxins when heated. Choose a safe air purifier. Dorm rooms are small, often dusty, and can harbor mold. A compact purifier with a true HEPA filter makes a big difference for breathing and focus. Make sure it does not include an ionizer, since ionizers produce ozone and are not safe in a dorm environment. My favorite is @jasprco . Small, intentional upgrades like these can protect their health and help them thrive in the college environment. #healthykids #health #healthycollegestudent #healthylifestyle #collegetips #healthyfamily #immunesystembooster #cleanwater #airpurifier #bluelight #emfprotection

and why you need these incandescent lamps for your shower 💡💤 CIRCADIAN RHYTHM: 🌞 The sun IS our red light. 🔴 Red light is soothing to the body - which is why you get sleepy in the sun. It lowers cortisol and helps produce melatonin. 🌅 So when the sun goes down, our body starts shifting into rest mode. Cortisol levels drop and melatonin production begins in order to prepare the body to wind down for sleep. What happens when our body is shifting into this mode, but all our LED lights are on? 🔵 LED lights have a very intense flicker that is hard to recognize with your bare eyes, but your eyes and brain receive that flicker and in induces stress and cortisol to the body. Blue light also stimulates our cortisol production and drastically halts our melatonin production. Which is why using LED lights, computers, tv’s and our phones in the evening has a HUGE impact on our nervous system and is keeping us all in a subtle state of stress and/or fight or flight. 💡I switched all of our lightbulbs to incandescent bulbs 10 months ago. The ones I’m currently using allow me to change the settings so the light gets progressively warmer in red as the day goes on all in one bulb. 💡 I also added these portable lamps that charge through a USB cord around the house. In the bathroom, kitchen, living room, etc! Anywhere I can move them around to add light to a space that I need without turning on any big lights. Great for reading, puzzles, games, cooking, showers, etc! aaaaand of course I get all my lights and bulbs from @blockbluelight_official and 💡🌞❤️ 🏷️ #bluelight #redlighttherapy #nervoussystemhealing #nervoussystemregulation #hormonehealing #highcortisol #wellnesstips #incandescent #healingtips

Do you stay up at night scrolling on your phone or watching TV in bed? You’re not just keeping yourself awake-you’re actively disrupting your body’s natural cycles. The artificial blue light from these screens can damage your eyes, disrupt your pineal gland, throw off your circadian rhythm, and ultimately ruin your chances of getting deep, restorative sleep. Good sleep is foundational to good health. To protect it, you have to eliminate this blue light exposure before bed. My recommendation? Turn off your phone and the TV at least an hour before you plan to sleep. If you absolutely must use a screen, invest in a pair of quality blue-blocking glasses. Take this simple step to protect your sleep and improve your health. Follow me for more science-backed health tips. #BlueLight #SleepHygiene #CircadianRhythm #Biohacking #DrNathanSBryan
