There are more summer weekends ahead, and if you’re going camping, - via @wyldhoneys - this is what you make for dessert after the fire has died down and everyone is still a little sun-drunk… cowgirl cobbler! which is really a blueberry cobbler, which is really any berry you want cobbler 🤠 ~~~ Filling: * 4 cups fresh blueberries * 1/4 cup sugar * 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour * Juice and zest of 1 lemon Topping: * 1 cup flour * 2 tablespoons sugar * 1 teaspoon baking powder * 1/4 cup cold salted butter, cut into cubes * 1/3 cup milk * Turbinado sugar ~~~ Line an 8 quart dutch oven with parchment. Stir together all the filling ingredients directly in the oven. In a separate bowl, mix dry topping ingredients, cut in the butter with a fork or your fingers, then stir in milk until a crumbly dough forms. Drop the topping over berries, sprinkle with turbinado sugar, and cover with the lid. Set the oven over hot coals, cover lid with more hot coals, and give the lid a quarter turn every 15 minutes. Add more hot coals as needed. Bake 30–45 min, or until golden and bubbly. Remove from the coals, let cool a bit, then serve with whipped cream. #goodsamroadtrip #campcooking

camping philly cheesesteaks 👇 (ad) This is such an easy go-to recipe with minimal ingredients!! We are cooking on the @campchef Gridiron Gameday. This stove is so easy to cook on and clean, we basically just scraped everything off and called it good in between meals! Kelby has been stoked on having a mobile flat top stove like this, and it would be sooo perfect for cooking for a group!! Ingredients: • diced bell pepper & onion (can cut this at home!) • sliced provolone cheese • thinly shaved steak • buns • butter & seasonings (we used an all in one bbq seasoning) Recipe: Honestly there isn’t much to this 😂 Sauté the veggies until they’re soft, cook the meat with your favorite bbq seasoning, & toast the buns on the stove. Mix the meat & veggies & cover with provolone until it’s melty. Assemble!! We will be making these over and over again this summer!! #camping #campcooking #campinglife #recipes

My new camping breakfast obsession 😋 🍳 Breakfast Tacos 🌮 Ingredients 🧺 (This recipe makes 6 tacos) 6 Medium Eggs 🥚 6 Small Flour Tortillas 6 Strips of Bacon 🥓 Queso Fresco 🧀 (or any cheese you’d like) Optional: Hash brown sticks as a side 🥔 Directions 📝 On a large pan or griddle, over medium heat fry your bacon until crispy and set aside Over the bacon grease crack your eggs and fry them, pop the yolk slightly Once the edges of your eggs are crispy place your flour tortillas right on top of the eggs Flip your eggs so that the tortilla side is now on the pan and lower your heat to low to brown your tortillas Add your bacon on top Crumble your queso fresco on top (or any cheese, or no cheese if you’d like) If you’re making has brown sticks or patties, you can also fry them over your bacon grease.
