AH@dexcom silently released a major new feature update in the latest version of the Dexcom G7 app, version 2.9. Now, you can add photos to activity events, such as: medications, meals, activity, fasting glucose, and notes.
But wait, there’s more! The photo capability in the meal logger now allows has “SMART FOOD LOG”, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to create a description of the meal. Then, after the fact, you can review all your various activities and events and see the impact that that meal had on your glucose curve.
Pro-tip: by going to Profile > Events, you can change the duration of that post-meal glucose curve that is highlighted for each meal. You can select anywhere from 1 to 4 hours.
As stated before, this feature was introduced in version 2.9. If you don’t see it in the App Store, you can pull down on the screen to refresh the page.
