Stop. Before you make an offer, read this. Don’t buy these homes. Some homes look great on Zillow but become nightmares when you try to sell. I’ve helped hundreds of families buy and sell. Here’s what I’ve learned: These homes sit on the market. They require price cuts. They cost you tens of thousands in equity you’ll never recover. Don‘t buy these: The house on a busy road. Doesn’t matter how nice the kitchen is. Buyers hear traffic and walk out. You‘ll always sell at a discount. Always. The house backing to a commercial or power lines. You got it cheaper for a reason. You’ll Sell it cheaper for the same reason. That “ deal “ cost you when you leave. The house with the weird floor plan Bedroom through another bedroom. Kitchen in the basement. No flow. Buyers can‘t see themselves living there. Neither will the next buyer. The house with one bathroom For a family home? Dealbreaker. Doesn’t matter how big it is. Modern buyers expect at least two. You‘ll eliminate half yourbuyer pool abu try to resale. The house with no garage in a garage neighborhood. Buyers compare. When every other home has a two-car garage and yours has a carport? You lose. Every time. The house with the massive custom features. That indoor basketball court. The purple accent walls. The built-in aquarium. Sellers love their custom work.
