This isn’t just another new cafe, this is an artisanal coffee bar with coffee scientists disguised as staff who ll challenge you to try some of the best SINGLE ORIGIN brews Chennai has to offer.
I loved all the coffees that I have shown in this video , but I was pleasantly surprised that I actually liked their Strawberry Hibiscus Nitro, as it’s my first time trying out a non milk based coffee. Their desserts and Hot Choc were bomb as well. Def a must try.
Here you can chill, learn a thing or 2 about coffee, use it as your workspace, bring your pets over , basically treat it like HOME .

THUnfiltered review alert 🙂↕️I’ve been eyeing KUP’s new Budan House for a longgg time and after seeing so many stories and posts, I went here with my partner. After driving 10 km and spending 2k for this meal, we can tell you a few things.
👍🏼Pros:
- The ambience is so quirky and there’s a touch of humour and freshness in everything, from the menu to the decor.
- The menu is quite unique and definitely has a good mix of new things to try.
- Taste was good for 3/4 things we tried, but not exceptional.
👎🏼Cons
- The prices are so high and you’d expect a proportionate quantity. You can forgive this too because this is the state of most cafés today. But the next thing was
- The taste of the coconut curry pasta was so off. In my opinion, when a café tries fusion, they should be tweaking the final taste to match the expectations of the target consumer. As far as I know, nobody here enjoys bland pasta and the description clearly says it’s a traditional curry (which is great) but the spices part was lacking.
- Priced at ₹450, with a chicken add-on of ₹100+, it came to ₹550 and we weren’t even full or satisfied.
It may have been a bad order on my part but you can’t blame me for ordering the best-seller that’s specially highlighted on the menu 🥹
One thing I read on their wall is: The customer is not always right. KUP is not always right. I agree.
If I go back here, I will be trying something else, and I think I might even like it a lot.
