With PCOS, even getting that ‘snatched’ waist or clear skin can seem like a distant dream. I wish more people understood what it’s like, so they’d think twice before pointing out our acne, facial hair, or the hair we’re always losing. Even the foods we once loved can trigger inflammation in our bodies now. We’re all figuring this out as we go. Sugar, trans fat, refined carbs, and whatnot. These add up extra kilos to your body. Instead, eat carbs with a low glycemic index, like whole grains and sweet potatoes. Also, include fibre-rich food as these take time to digest and hence do not lead to a spike in blood sugar. 2) Junk food is usually oily, fatty, high in bad carbs, & lacks vitamins and minerals.
