This was my first time doing a roller set on textured hair. All the other times were on my mannequin. I was so excited, yet surprised she wanted me to do this, especially since she normally presses her hair. But I was so grateful to even get the experience. I must say, it is very different than working on my mannequin. For example, the product was very wet and slippery, so having a towel handy was a great idea. Her hair also dried very, very fast, which meant I had to keep rewetting it and using a generous amount of product to keep it fully saturated. I can’t wait to try this again. I feel more confident now and know exactly what to tweak next time. I styled it with only 2 hair products Amika heat defense serum (I sat under the hair dryer) and Nairobi foaming wrap lotion.
