Because that’s exactly what running is. That means training movements like: • Bent-knee calf raises • Walking lunges (or sled push to reduce impact) • Explosive step-ups • Seated single-leg jumps • Kneeling jumps to box • Drop → rebound jump progressions Add them to your strength training routine 2–3x per week. Progress gradually. Quality over height and load. Running doesn’t break you. Lack of tissue capacity and poor force management does.
