TIPS 4 da LONG RUN !! Someone asked me how I got through all those 15 + mile long runs during marathon training & how I’ll do it again!! 👯‍♀️1. Running buddies !! Whether it’s a friend or a furry friend, a running buddy makes all the difference! Even if they do just the warm up or half the run it totally helps! 🎵2. Podcast or music !! finding a good podcast whether educational or entertaining helps me so much!! A good playlist of multiple genres is key to keeping yo feet moving & maybe a little two step in there!! 📞3. Call yo homie !! Use this time to catch up w/ a friend or loved one!! This typically works better for those easy pace long runs but boy does it make time fly!! 😍4. Fit check >>> a cute run fit goes the extra mile!! Don’t knock it till you try it!! 🤑5. “It’s like a reward…” treat yourself self !! If you can’t splurge on a coffee or my FAV açaí bowl after a 2hr long run WYD!!?? But for real you can at least make yourself a fun meal after or even allow yourself some relaxing time… post long run bath… HITS DIFFERENT MANNN 🥇6. Eyes on the prize!! Mindset is everything!! Remember your why & how amazing you will feel when you finish… think about how much this will aid you in the long run… LITERALLY the long run!!! 🏖️7. your my best view… A great scenery or even a change in route helps so much!! Believe it or not sometimes I kinda enjoyed the long runs on the DREADmill because it allowed me to watch a movie or YouTube video instead of focusing on how much I had ahead of me!! **comment any I missed !!
