Serves 4-5 512 calories Ingredients: - 4 chicken breasts, cut into chunks - 2 peppers, chopped - 1 red onion, chopped - 3 garlic cloves, minced - Handful of chopped parsley - 1 tin (400g) chopped tomatoes - 2 tbsp hot sauce - 3 tbsp Cajun seasoning - 1 tbsp mixed herbs - 2 tbsp @philadelpia or a soft cheese - 100g light mozzarella or cheddar - 250g spiral pasta, cooked Method: 1. Add all the ingredients to the slow cooker except the peppers, parsley, cheese and pasta. Cook on high for 3–4 hours on high or 7 on low. 2. When the time’s up, cook your pasta separately, then stir it into the slow cooker along with the chopped peppers and 2 tablespoons of soft cheese. Mix everything well until creamy. 3. Do you love your slow cooker but struggle for inspiration and the correct way to use it? I’m gonna show you loads of tips and tricks to help you on your way. Here is part 1 of slow cooker masterclass to make cooking banging recipes in your slow cooker a breeze. Tips Below 👇🏼🔥👏🏼 1: you don’t actually need lots of liquid to cook within your slow cooker pot, quite often even 100 mil of stock or wine will be more than enough to create a delicious sauce for your meal, when you add too much liquid, it will dilute the flavour and it won’t be the rich flavours you were expecting. 2: did you know you can bake in your slow cooker? Recipes like my banging sticky toffee pudding are real family favourite. A tea towel tucked under the lid whilst cooking will stop any liquid evaporating in the pot from recycling back into what you’re cooking. 3: do not under any circumstance lift the lid unnecessarily, a stir halfway through can sometimes benefit but every time you lift the lid you add time to your cook. I know it it’s nice to peak but trust me it’s not worth it. Just wait until the end. 4: slow cookers or an incredibly energy efficient way of cooking. Costing a fraction what it takes to run conventional fan oven. So if you’re looking to save money on your energy bills throughout the year, then this is a great way to cook. 5: if you find your sauce isn’t thick enough then you can use a cornflour slurry, added to the end of the cooking time will do the trick. The EASIEST lazy caramelized onions!!! 🧅 This slow cooker caramelized onion method changes the game for fall recipes. Freeze in silicone cubes for soups, dips, pasta, or literally anything. 🤎 🧅 Slow Cooker Caramelized Onions (Batch Prep Method) Serves: ~2½ cups cooked onions Total Time: ~12–13 hours (hands-off) Ingredients • 4 lb yellow onions (about 6–8 medium) • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted (or olive oil if preferred) • 1½ tsp kosher salt • Optional: ½ tsp sugar (helps speed caramelization slightly) Method: Peel and thinly slice your onions (about ⅛–¼ inch thick). Toss the slices directly in your slow cooker or multi cooker with the melted butter and salt until evenly coated. Cook on LOW for 12 hours — overnight works perfectly. If using an @ourplace dream cooker, do medium heat for slow cooking. Not sure why, but low didn’t fully caramelize them for me! Resist stirring too often; once or twice is enough. After 12 hours, the onions will be soft, golden, and sweet, but with extra liquid. Strain off the liquid to remove any excess moisture. If you’re using a traditional slow cooker, transfer the onions to a skillet and sauté over medium heat for 8–10 minutes until glossy and deeply caramelized for that extra umph! If you’re using the instant pot or another multi cooker, switch to the sauté function on high heat and cook directly in the pot until the onions turn jammy and rich. Taste and season with more salt if needed. Cool completely on a chilled sheet pan, then spoon into silicone ice cube trays or small containers. Freeze for up to 3 months — pop out cubes anytime for soups, dips, sauces, or pasta. I don’t know about anyone else, but sundays for me are all about maxo relaxo I’m not doing chores I’m not exhausting myself Girl, I’m barely using my brain So in our household we’ve introduced ✨✨ SLOW COOK SUNDAYS ✨✨ On sunday morning, one of us makes our breakfast and the other sets up the slow cooker and then we have zero other cooking to do for the day I promise it will change your sundays Save this for when you’re deciding what to cook on sunday And follow for new weekly recipes 🫶 Ingredients - 4 serves 2 chicken breasts sliced lengthways 4 potatoes diced 2 carrots diced 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp onion powder 1/4 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes 2 tbsp sun-dried tomato pesto 3 cups chicken stock 300ml light thickened cream 1/4 cup parmesan cheese Method 1. Add potatoes, carrot, onion and garlic powder, sun-dried tomatoes, pesto, and chicken stock to the slow cooker and mix until well combined 2. Top with chicken breast and ensure sauce is covering them 3. Turn on the slow cooker for 8 hours on low 4. When finished, add thickened cream and parmesan and mix until well combined 5.
