…but what I say, after coaching it for over 15 years and competing for over 8, is that it’s not entirely true. It may not be a sport you can do for your whole life, physically, yes. However, it forms a strong foundation for the rest of your life. How?

🔵 Foundational muscle strength
🔵 Visualization techniques
🔵 Work ethic and resiliency
💙 These are life lessons. They are with you forever. And, although I wanted to quit many times throughout my gymnastic career, I’m so glad I stuck with it for as long as I have. 💙
💪 I am humbled physically as I age. Yes, I remember being able to do all of the skills and how it felt but I know that it is not in my body to do anymore.
🔵 And so, I found the world of yoga, springboard diving, dancing, hula hooping and other forms of fitness to be a physical challenge that fills my desire of athleticism. And these CAN be done throughout the entire life.
