A 52-second animated video by The Wire has sparked a major debate on free speech and censorship. Uploaded on February 7, the cartoon commented on the recent Parliament standoff over discussion of the 2020 India-China border tensions. Within two days, the video went viral — but soon after, action was taken. The Wire’s Instagram account was blocked and a notice was reportedly sent to X to ensure the clip was removed there as well.

HEPlanting my Peas 🫛
One of the first things I always plant out in the garden!
🫛 These are Meteor Peas which are a winter hardy variety. I sowed these indoors early March and usually plant them out late March.
🫛 You can sow them directly into the soil outside now too.
🫛 I like to make a really simple trellis with bamboo canes and string for peas. I'l add more layers of string soon so they have sonething to climb.
🫛 We usually start harvesting peas around June time and the kids love picking them too!

WHMy husband, Ryan, suffered an anoxic brain injury from going into cardiac arrest from a bee sting on October 14, 2021. Although Ryan was able to be revived after 20 minutes, his brain injury was too severe to recover and he died on April 7, 2022, at the age of 35.
There is so much I did not understand about brain injuries before Ryan’s medical event and I believe sharing will help so many feel less alone.
(1) A brain injury can truly feel like a death: My husband physically died almost 6 months after his medical event, but it felt like he had died in October. His brain injury caused everything that made my husband, who he was, to disappear in moments. I began to grieve him before he took his last breath.
(2) Brain injuries cause both cognitive and physical decline: Because someone with a severe brain injury is bed-bound and cannot eat food (nutrition is given through a g or j tube), people with brain injuries lose muscle mass and are at risk for bed sores and blood clots. In addition, many people with severe brain injuries cannot control their saliva so they need a trach which puts them at risk of pneumonia and other infections.
(3) How much of an advocate you have to be: Having a loved one with a brain injury is a full-time job because they cannot advocate for themselves. It included going to the hospital every day and having discussions with medical providers.
If you have been a caregiver or are a caregiver for a loved one with a brain injury, my heart goes out to you.
