“How can you let her read that?” By being a mother who is a part of her reading experience. I would like her share with me what she is interested in, rather than feeling that she has to hide and sneak. She wants to read A Court of Thorns and Roses? Okay. Let me find a way to make that work. 👍 Taping the final book took a little over an hour. But it’s been worth it so that she can enjoy this series. (Btw the painters tape comes off just fine.) #acotar #acourtofthornsandroses #acotarseries #bookcommunity #booktok

Want to know what makes some people magnetic without even trying? It’s not about being charming or funny. It’s about tiny shifts that make people feel seen, heard, and comfortable around you. I read a great article by Alex Mathers on Medium today and found this really fascinating. He chose 11 behaviors, but these were my favorite 5: 1. Wait one second before responding. That micro pause makes you seem thoughtful instead of reactive. It stops you from interrupting, which people hate way more than they admit. 2. Let awkward silences breathe. Most people panic and fill every gap with nervous chatter. When you can sit in silence without fidgeting, you signal confidence that others find magnetic. 3. Remember the small details. Bring up something they mentioned weeks ago like “How did that presentation go?” This proves you were actually listening, which is rarer than you think. 4. Complain less than everyone around you. Even when you have legitimate reasons to complain, being the lighthearted one is addictively refreshing in this stressful world. 5. Disagree occasionally but don’t be difficult about it. Nodding along to everything makes you forgettable. Thoughtful disagreement shows you’re actually thinking, not just performing niceness. If this sounds like you and you want to feel more confident in social situations, pick one of these to practice this week. When you do, you’ll notice people seeking you out more and conversations feeling easier instead of exhausting. If you’re new here, I’m Roz, a positive psychologist. This space is for evidence based tools that work to help you build resilience, become more confident, reduce anxiety, and enjoy more purpose and live your best life. 🧠🧠 #mindsetofexcellence #highperformer

What people often call emotional intelligence was, for many of us, survival. It was learning to read the room before you ever learned to read books. Learning moods, tone, silence, tension. Learning when to speak, when to stay quiet, when to disappear. Learning how to become the adult far too early. You didn’t become emotionally intelligent because life was kind. You became it because you had to. And here’s the part that matters most: That awareness your nervous system developed to survive chaos doesn’t have to keep costing you peace. You’re allowed to stop scanning for danger. You’re allowed to rest without bracing. You’re allowed to feel without managing everyone else. What once protected you can be refined now. Not erased. Refined. Into discernment instead of hypervigilance. Into leadership instead of over-responsibility. Into empathy without self-abandonment. You weren’t broken by where you came from. You were shaped there. And now, you get to choose what that strength builds next. If this landed, I created something for you. I put together a guide called Why Therapy Wasn’t Enough (And What Comes Next) for women who understand their trauma intellectually, but still don’t feel settled or safe in their bodies. It explains the gap between knowing you’re safe and actually feeling safe, and what somatic work offers that talk therapy alone often can’t. 💬 Comment SOMATIC and I’ll send it to you.

Women know what it feels like when something feels off. We’ve learned to scan rooms, watch drinks, read body language and protect each other in ways the world rarely sees. This is survival intelligence passed quietly between women. Oftentimes safety doesn’t come from security guards or systems, it comes from another woman noticing your face change for one second too long and stepping in. If you’ve ever felt unseen, unsafe or confused in situations where your instincts were screaming you’re not imagining it. Learning to trust yourself again is part of healing. My ebook A Woman’s Path to Freedom is for women rebuilding themselves after emotional pain, toxic dynamics or losing their voice. It shares real stories, emotional insight and practical reflections that help you understand patterns, reconnect with your worth and start choosing yourself again. If you’re on that journey, the link is in my bio 🤍 And if you want more honest conversations about healing, boundaries and becoming emotionally unshakable follow @unshakable.she #womenprotectingwomen #womensupportingwomen #stayaware #healingwomen #femininepower

Level up your vocabulary and stop settling for the mundane 🧠✨ If you want your speech and writing to sound more vivid, start using words that truly express what you mean. Don’t just read them — scrutinize their meanings and practice using them daily. A pragmatic learner knows that consistency beats cramming. Clear and lucid communication sets you apart. Learn to juxtapose ideas, speak with confidence, and carry yourself like an eminent thinker. Don’t let outdated, obsolete language hold you back. Avoid a belligerent tone in debates — choose words that persuade, not words that hinder. Expand your vocabulary to alleviate misunderstandings and help others concur with clarity instead of confusion. Don’t be ambiguous. Be precise. The world doesn’t reward nefarious intentions, but it does reward effort. Growth is absolutely feasible — even if it feels daunting at first. Have reverence for knowledge. Aim for impeccable communication. Build camaraderie through powerful conversations. Remember, confidence may feel transient — but skill lasts forever. Save this. Practice daily. Speak differently. Think differently. 🚀📚 . . . #advancedvocabulary #wordpower #englishlearning #levelupyourenglish #communicationskills

Just a little reminder. Maybe you read this from a child’s perspective or maybe from a parents. Maybe you have been your parents therapist, or been burden with what you were too small to carry, and maybe you now are building your own, and start to recognize how your inner child is surfacing from somewhere inside. Whatever the perspective, if you want to build an emotionally safe family or if you want to heal from your emotionally unsafe family, my page is for you. Comment ”listen” if you want to begin listening to yourself again, and learn how to actually hear your child. But you know what though, sometimes I don’t mind it 🤣 has eldest daughters, we’ve been able to read the vibes since almost day one. If you’re here for surface conversation Or you’re fishing for something We are 🙅🏼‍♀️ If you’re coming to me with a conversation that starts with “how are you?” and ends with “I’m fine.” Forget it. Be prepared for me to stare into your soul. If that makes me intimidating, great. I’d rather be intimidating than a shell of myself afraid to admit my feelings 🤷🏼‍♀️ If this had a little too close to home and you need a little direction right now, comment GUIDE and I’ll send you the link to my exact blueprint. #firstborndaughter #eldestdaughter #eldestdaughtersyndrome #nervoussystemhealing #nervoussystemreset

Here is what I now know about men 👇 ✨Firstly, follow @sophieorozcocoaching for more on reviving your marriage.✨ For years, I didn’t understand men. I was raised in a house with four sisters and a dad who traveled a lot, so I didn’t have many men around me to learn from. I had to figure things out the hard way in my own marriage… through disconnection, misunderstandings, and some really painful seasons where we felt more like roommates than partners. But here’s what I’ve learned and what I wish every spouse knew: 1️⃣ Men are often simpler than we assume. They want peace. They want to feel like they’re doing a good job. And deep down, they want to make you happy too. 2️⃣ A lot of conflict comes from overcomplicating what’s actually a simple need. Most of the time, it’s not about the argument. It’s about feeling valued. 3️⃣ Respect hits different for men. When a man feels respected, he tends to show up stronger by being more loving, more protective, more present. 4️⃣ Men are emotional too. They just process it differently. Sometimes they shut down, go quiet, or get defensive not because they don’t care… but because they don’t feel safe or capable in that moment. 5️⃣ Men and women are different emotionally, mentally, energetically. Expecting each other to react the same way sets both of you up to feel disappointed and alone. 💔 And here’s the truth: Most marriages don’t fall apart because there’s no love. They fall apart because the connection gets buried under stress, resentment, and the constant feeling of “we’re missing each other.” But the good news? That can be rebuilt. Not by waiting for the other person to change first but by learning how to shift what’s happening between you. If your marriage has started to feel like roommate mode… you’re not alone. And you’re not stuck. ✨ Comment “MARRIAGE” and I’ll send a free guide that will transform your marriage. Love ❤️ Sophie #love #marriage #marriagecoach #marriagetips #relationshipadvice
