How do we think this is normal? I actually worked it out today. Out of 24 hours… I get 30 minutes with my son. 30 minutes of real, present time before bed and the day is over. The rest of the day is spent getting ready getting him ready working rushing trying to keep everything moving And by the time we get that 30 minutes— we’re both tired. This is what our days look like. And somehow we’ve been taught that this is just life. 30 minutes a day with the person I’m doing all of this for. … That doesn’t sit right with me. Saw this idea from @home_ed_discovery — it really made me stop and look at my own days.

RAISING GEN ALPHA KIDS After using screens our kids brains need to reset and return to their body. How do we go about that? 🚴Movement - anything from running, jumping, skipping, swimming, helps give the brain a break and resets. ✋🏻Human Interaction - just sitting and having a conversation without distractions will help rewire their brains. Connection calms them. 🍒Food & Water - overstimulated brains require food and water to bring the brain back to balance. Eating helps stabilise blood sugar and restores energy. Water calms nervous system and reduces irritability. Try this and you will see - Fewer meltdowns and tantrums. - Less Irritable Kids. - Calmer and more Rational kids. If you’ve been following this series: Part 1 → Repetition is often a function of development Part 2 → Your experiences shape how you respond Part 3 → Now we build structure to reduce the repetition Because repeating yourself over and over… is frustrating. But from a brain standpoint: • The prefrontal cortex (planning) is still developing • The basal ganglia build habits through repetition • The dopamine system responds to immediate feedback So telling them repeatedly… doesn’t wire the behavior. Structure does. What helps: • Visual checklists • Environmental cues • Consistent routines • Immediate follow-through You’re not just correcting behavior. You’re building systems. #explore #parenting #fyp

1. She said the red flag isn’t crying, aggression, or shyness — it’s when a child never initiates. Not play, not questions, not choices. “If a five-year-old waits for adults to start everything,” she said, “the world will shape them instead of them shaping the world.” 2. A child-development researcher explained why: at 5, the brain builds its initiative circuitry — the part that says “I’ll start,” “I’ll try,” “I’ll go first.” If a child always waits for permission, the brain wires for reactivity, not agency. Later in life this shows up as hesitation, people-pleasing, and fear of taking opportunities. 3. The teacher gave a brutal example: two boys were equally intelligent. One always asked, “Can I draw?” The other simply began. Ten years later, the first boy avoided difficult tasks unless instructed; the second took leadership without being asked. Same IQ — different wiring. 4. She said parents accidentally train the “wait” reflex by over-directing: “Sit here,” “Do this,” “Not like that,” “Let me help.” The child stops initiating because initiation gets interrupted. “When a child learns adults will take over, they retire early,” she said. 5. Her fix is shockingly simple and works instantly: Give a 5-year-old one daily moment where they choose the start. “Where should we sit?” “What should we draw?” “You decide the first step.” The brain expands the circuitry of agency through tiny acts of choosing. Initiation isn’t a personality trait — it’s a muscle. If they don’t use it at 5, they’ll chase permission for decades. ‼️ Drop «family» in the comments, and I’ll show you how to rebuild a child’s inner drive so their day stops revolving around waiting, how their confidence grows through tiny choices without pushing them, and how their initiative starts showing up naturally with no pressure on anyone at home.

Your child might be losing brain power… and you won’t even notice it. We made everything faster — typing, scrolling, shortcuts. But in the process, something important disappeared. ✍️ Handwriting. And now? Attention spans are shrinking. Memory is weaker. Learning feels harder. Cognitive skills have been compromised. This isn’t random. It’s connected. In Part 2, I’ll break down exactly how handwriting rewires the brain — and why it makes kids smarter. Follow & don’t miss it. #graphology #analysis #parentingreels #momlifeindia #childpsychology

Parents need to know that the first three years of life are the most critical for their child’s development. From 0-3 years old, rapid brain growth and neural connections are forming at an incredible rate—shaping how they learn, process emotions, and interact with the world. This is the time when presence matters most. No daycare, screen, or structured program can replace the bond, security, and learning that comes from being with a loving parent. These early years lay the foundation for future success in learning, relationships, and emotional well-being. Give them the best start by being present, engaged, and intentional. What if we stopped focusing on behaviour and looked more into regulation? This lovely year 2 class had a lot of energy 😂 that’s cool huns. But we need to navigate that energy in order to support children to feel regulated and ready to learn. This included matching it and then moving it down. With one of my favourite transition strategies ‘gradual start’. Interested in the regulation revolution? You can use our digital tools right now and get started! This is an age old method that is follwed by parents all across the world. I came across this recently and after a lot of research, I started applying it in our life. And trust me !! It worked for us !! These are known to help children get over their behavioral issues. It encourages positive change in behaviour and habits of kids. This is how you can follow it. Step 1: Identify the key areas where you want to focus Eg. Eating issue, bedwetting, potty training, concentration issue, sleeping issue, anger, etc. Step 2: Make a list of these things Keep only a maximum of 5, so that we so not overwhelm the child. Step 3: You can sleep talk either after they fall asleep (after 1-2 hours) or before they wake up. I do both. Step 4: Spend only 5-10 minutes Step 5: Be consistent. Repeat the affirmation every day for a minimum of 4 weeks so that they can become familiar with it and accept it. Step 5: Use a soothing voice Step 6: Identify yourself and tell your child to keep sleeping.  "Hi Dhruv, this is Mumma..keep sleeping" Step 7: Start with love affirmations Start by saying how much you love them and how much they mean to you. Step 8: Start speaking with positive phrases. Eg. Instead of "Dhruv do not waste food", say "Dhruv loves eating food" Step 9: Use present tense Eg. Instead of saying "I want you to do your activities", say "Dhruv loves to do activities" Keep repeating it consistently. I have typed it in my mobile and I repeat the same lines every time. It worked for me. I got introduced to this method by simbhas.playful.tales and later spoke to some elders of the family and they confirmed same. Further read some posts and opinion by Dr.Laura Marusinec, Pediatrician at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Do try it !!! It may be just a belief !! But it never harms !! 😍 Happy parenting !! #montessori #montessoriathome #preschool #kids #sensoryplay #okul #montessoriactivity #homeschooling #k #learningthroughplay #montessoritoddler #kindergarten #woodentoys #mainanedukasi #kidsactivities #earlylearning #homeschool #education #montessorikids #etkinlik #preschoolactivities #waldorf #handmade #baby #playbasedlearning #mainananak #parenting #os #
