The bodies held together through tension and compression. It’s a holistic balancing system and we can actually create structural integration through stretching, movement and ultimately that’s what Yoga does. That is why yoga is is bodacious. So when I approach a practice I’m looking for balance. I’m always going antagonist and agonist so that the muscles that are the muscle groups that counteract each other through tension and compression or through stretching and strength. So, I would never just do a forward fold practice or I would never just do a backbend practice leaving me ultimately out of a line. I work towards balancing both sides so that when I finish my practice I’m balanced. Or if I’m doing rotations I really think about how the body works with it with itself either synergistically or antagonistically and I focus that through different myofascial meridians. Essentially it’s a blueprint for practicing safely and intentionally. ps this was hard as shit to climb

Backbend Practice Lv.1 처음 시도할 때는 벽과 두 발을 지지대로 사용하고, 간격은 그날의 컨디션에 맞게 조절합니다. 처음 시도할수록 벽과의 거리는 여유 있게, 발의 높이는 골반 높이를 기준으로 합니다 ☺️ Lv.2 비주얼은 어려워 보이지만 블록과 스트랩의 도움으로 가동 범위를 안전하게 넓혀가는 단계입니다. 스트랩이 걸린 다리가 휘어지거나 플렉스되지 않도록 주의하세요. Lv.3 보기에 쉬워 보일 수 있지만 거의 완성 단계에서만 가능한 수련입니다. 발이 이동하는 궤도를 인지하고, 그 궤도를 따라 힘을 쓸 수 있도록 블록으로 ‘길’을 만들어 줍니다. Lv.4를 시도하고 싶다면 Lv.3에서 발 아래 블록을 제거하세요 🤗 Studio : @larayoga_academy
