Cotard’s syndrome sometimes called “walking corpse syndrome”, is a rare condition where someone may genuinely believe they are dead, don’t exist, or have lost parts of their body.
It’s a documented neuropsychiatric condition often linked to severe depression, psychosis, or neurological illness. This is exactly why we created The Strange Corner of Psychiatry, to talk about the conditions that sound unreal, but are very real.
