5. Recite or summarize the material in your own words and periodically review to reinforce understanding.

I always get asked for study methods that you can all use and so in this post I wanted to share a complete guide to one of the most effective study methods out there: the BLURTING METHOD! If you really want to test your understanding of a topic and learn information efficiently, then this is a method that you really need to try out!
[🔍] What is it?
—> When you are preparing for an exam, it can be hard to figure out what you know already. The Blurting Method is a great way to find out what you need to work on and test your knowledge throughout revision.
All you need is get a blank piece of paper and write down everything you remember without looking at your notes. Then you check to see what you missed. Repeat until you remember everything!
[🖋️] The Steps
—> Step 1: Review your notes to remind yourself of the topic
—> Step 2: Get a blank piece of paper (you could also add some topic titles to guide what you need to ‘blurt’)
—> Step 3: Set yourself a time limit (about 5 minutes but adjust based on the size of the topic)
—> Step 4: Write down everything you can remember on the page, trying to be as thorough as possible
—> Step 5: Once finished, use a different coloured pen to fill in any knowledge gaps and identify weaknesses.
—> Step 6: Repeat
