🥣 Ingredients
• 500 g ground pork

• 3 tbsp soy sauce
• 2 tsp sesame oil
• 2 tsp chili oil
• 1 tsp white pepper

The ultimate comfort-food crossover 🤍 This dumpling lasagna layers juicy chicken filling, delicate homemade wrappers, and hidden soup jelly for that classic dumpling burst—steamed gently into a soft, savory, lasagna-style dish. Fun to make, impressive to serve, and so satisfying.
🛒 Ingredients
Chicken Filling
• 450 g ground chicken
• Green onion
• 2 tsp grated ginger
• 1½ tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tbsp sesame oil
• 1 tsp sugar
• A pinch of salt
• Chili oil
Soup Jelly
• 120 ml chicken stock
• 8 g powdered gelatin
Wrappers
• 150 g all-purpose flour
• 30 g potato starch
• A pinch of salt
• 110 ml boiling water
👩🍳 Directions
Make the Soup Jelly
Heat chicken stock, add gelatin, and stir until fully dissolved.
Pour into a container and refrigerate until completely firm.
Cut into small cubes and keep chilled.
Prepare the Chicken Filling
In a bowl, combine ground chicken, green onion, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and salt.
Mix until sticky and well combined.
Gently fold in the soup jelly cubes without crushing them.
Make the Wrappers
Mix flour, potato starch, and salt in a bowl.
Pour in boiling water and mix with chopsticks.
Once cool enough to handle, knead briefly until smooth.
Cover and rest for 20 minutes.
Divide and roll the dough as thin as possible (almost translucent).
Assemble & Steam
Line a large frying pan with 2–3 layers of parchment paper.
Layer wrappers and chicken filling like lasagna.
Add water to the pan (about 1–1.5 cm deep, not touching the food).
Cover and steam:
– Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat
– Reduce to medium-low and steam for 15 minutes
– Turn off heat and let rest for 5 minutes
Perfect for a cozy dinner, creative cooking night, or when you want dumplings in an entirely new (and impressive) way.
