KA6 months ago today 8.9.2024 we got on the plane for a one way flight to Australia 🛫🇦🇺
After an emotional goodbye leaving the UK on the 1st September we had a long stop over in Dubai to relax & reflect on everything.
For us it’s been a very positive experience so far.
We have been so lucky with how everything has planned out for us ie school, house, job etc ☺️
We still pinch ourselves every day thinking we actually live here now, and we are not on holiday and we do not have to return back to England anytime soon 🙈
So proud of our little family and what we have achieved over the last 6 months of being here. And 12 months prior to moving in-fact.
Our motto has always been “Trust the process”
The visa process and the journey after that is not for the fainthearted, and although we have had a positivite experience setting up our new life here we have also had to put in a lot of work back in the UK and arriving here which some people find very stressful.
For us we enjoyed the challenge of getting everything prepared. But not going to lie we did have a little moment here and there of being a little stressed watching the money haemorrhage when we first arrived and trying to find furniture on the cheap 🙈 but we knew that would happen when we first got here.
Apart from that we have been so blessed & lucky it’s all gone to plan without any doubt, regret or tears ☘️✨
You can literally achieve anything you put your mind to.
Don’t let fear get in the way of stopping you living a better life. Yes we miss family & friends but the last 6 months has been nothing but incredible and we are so excited to show all our family the reason WHY we did this when they come visit us later this year 🥰 ✨
