My step by step hiring process 👇 1. “I can’t afford it” Entrepreneurs get confused about how much their time is worth. Here’s the formula to make it easy: Your time is worth how much your business pays you divided by 2000 hours. Then you need to calculate your buy back rate: No one should be doing work they can’t outsource for 1/4 of what they’re taking home. Let’s say your business pays you $100,000/year, that’s $50/hour (Assuming you work 40 hours per week). Your buy back rate in this case would be: $12.50. Everyone has a buy back rate, even if you make $50,000/year, that’s $6.25/hour. You could hire TWO full-time VAs overseas to support your business with that amount of money. Get creative. But what should you make them do? That’s where ATF comes in: 2. Audit, Transfer, Fill Audit: First your look at all the time you spend in a day (Look at every 15 minutes, I’m serious) And score those activities according to: 1. How much money they make you. ($ vs $$$) 2. How much it lights you up. (Green, Yellow, Red) For me: Financials and projections are boring - RED Creating content is exciting - GREEN Does this task make me money? How much would it cost to offload to someone else? Responding to emails - $ Sales calls - $$$ But how do you get the right person? Move to the last step: 3. The Test First Hiring Method Here’s my rule: I don’t work with you until I work with you. Let’s pretend you hire an EA (Executive Assistant) to manage your emails and calendar (my recommendation) Create a “test project”. Simulate the work they would do in your business. Here’s why most people’s AI sucks, and that’s because people are treating AI kind of like Google. They’re asking you to do things, they’re telling you they wanted to do this, this and this, and they’re not actually putting in any preparation or planning. I ran an Ads and AI masterclass Yesterday, and one of the big things that I shared with everyone was that the biggest issue that I see is that people don’t give the AI tools the resources necessary. Similar to if you were hiring a virtual assistant, an executive assistant, whatever it might be, you can’t just throw them into a job and expect them to be able to do it. You need to give it the tools, the resources, the information to actually be able to make good decisions, to be able to actually give you good feedback and information. If you don’t, it’s exactly the same as anything else. You’re not gonna, you’re gonna get a subpar result, you’re not gonna get a good result. So if you’re someone who started using AI, started using tools and giving all these fun chat GPT prompts. I encourage you, stop and think about what’s the outcome you actually want, what resources would you give to a normal human being to be able to do it, then you’ll be able to get even better results when it comes to your ads and AI.
