As practitioners, most of us were in pain before starting Functional Patterns. Back pain, knee pain, shoulder pain and everything in between. Now we’re able to move athletically without the pain that comes along with traditional fitness methods. In addition, we knew that we would be doing clients a disservice if we continued coaching them on traditional methods that weren’t actually improving their movement and would eventually either contribute or put them in pain. Transverse movement is the hardest to coach, which is why you don’t see it in most traditional fitness. Great to see our jr trainers showing off their movement gains!

When O.M. discovered FP she had tried EVERYTHING. Physiotherapy, kinesotherapy, years of pilates, jogging, massages, gym training, and 15 years of consistent swimming (doctor’s orders). Nothing worked. In fact, most of these approaches were making her WORSE, creating more imbalance instead of fixing the root cause. I just keep getting better & I have less pain in my 40s than I did in my 30s. They also like to claim that my strength isn’t ’functional’… ok bro, keep doing your pirouettes with baby weights acting like it’s actually doing something. As for this video, Naudi is knocking squatting for jump height & he’s criticizing the worlds best high jumper saying that you can’t just copy what someone who gets results does & expect results ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING ME NAUDI? It’s all you f***ing do lol. You have no research to back up the claims about your training. All you do is rag on other people & post up testimonials of your clients. Literally what you are criticizing is the only type of marketing you do. Can’t make this shit up 🤣 As far as squats… sorry Naudi, several studies demonstrate they do improve jump height & increasing squat 1 rep max actually increases jump height & sprint times LOL (PMIDs: 22344055, 19826302, 38668555, 17545891 & 35627371) But you keep doing baby weight ballet & acting like it actually is magic. I’d love to take bets on who is going to be more ‘functional’ in 30 years between the two of us 🤣 #functionalpatterns

Moving for longevity! I used to feel like I didn’t belong in the fitness world because most people were either focused on aesthetics or excelling in a sport. My journey isn’t driven by competition; in fact, as a kid I had performance anxiety and would perform worse on competition days. However, discovering the Weck Method and Functional Patterns gave my fitness journey a greater purpose. I love this guy’s passion. I don’t even know how he got overweight with a work ethic like his, but the past already happened so who cares. I have a group of 5 guys at our gym that are working towards losing 100lbs or more. My buddy Jerome just kicked ass in his first meet after dropping a bunch of weight too. Todd is a former college baseball player who stayed active for years through strength training, CrossFit, running, and mobility work. But by 2014, lower back pain became constant. Pushing through it only made things worse. By 2017, he was living with severe L5–S1 disc herniations. He tried everything: • Physical therapy • Spinal decompression • Chiropractic • Prolotherapy • Dry needling • Acupuncture • Massage • Postural therapy • Visceral manipulation Some of it helped briefly. None of it solved the problem. Pain spread to his hips, knees, neck, and shoulder. Sleep suffered. Travel became difficult. Even basic daily tasks were a strain. That changed when Todd committed to Functional Patterns and began training with @_andrew_hamel. Instead of chasing symptoms, he rebuilt how his body actually moves. Індивідуальна адаптація: Те, що на відео виглядає як «правильна форма», може зашкодити саме вашій структурі тіла, якщо не врахувати ваші особисті компенсації.
