CASome say it’s just from staring at the sun too long… but it’s actually a real phenomenon.
Right as the sun dips below the horizon, under the right conditions, the atmosphere bends the light and separates the colors… revealing a quick flash of green at the very top.
Living here in Southwest Florida, with wide open views over the Gulf, gives you one of the best chances to actually see it.
It’s rare, it’s fast… and if you blink, you’ll miss it.
