Understanding different types of lines with life’s examples 🥺
1)𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐥 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 :- Parallel lines are the lines that do not intersect or meet each other at any point in a plane. They are always parallel and are at equidistant from each other. Parallel lines are non-intersecting lines.
2)𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 :- Intersecting lines are two or more lines that cross each other at a single point in a plane. This shared point is called the point of intersection or the intersection point.
3)𝐀𝐬𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 :- An asymptote is a straight line, but specifically one that approaches or nears a curve but never meets it.
4)𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 :- A line that intersects the circle at exactly one point.
5)𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 :- perpendicular is a straight line at an angle of 90° to a given line, plane, or surface.
6)𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 :-concurrent lines are two or more lines that intersect at a single, common point. This point of intersection is called the point of concurrency.
7)𝐒𝐤𝐞𝐰 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 :- A pair of lines that are not parallel to one another and do not intersect with one another.
