If I had to manage everything my wife does to keep our family, our home, and our business running like a well-oiled machine… on top of raising five kids… I’m honestly not sure I could make it look as easy or as effortless as she does.
Marriage isn’t hard when it’s treated like a team sport. It becomes heavy when one person is constantly busy, exhausted, overstimulated, and underappreciated… carrying an unfair share of the load with no end in sight.
One of the most powerful things I can do for my family is make sure my wife isn’t maxed out every day and every night. That she has the physical capacity, mental bandwidth, and emotional availability to be the soft, nurturing woman God intended her to be.

A_This is what our immigrant communities are living through.
Constant fear. Split-second decisions. Families forced to gamble with their safety just to make it home. These are not criminals. These are workers, parents, sons, daughters, neighbors. People who show up every day to build, clean, cook, harvest, and care for this country while being hunted by a system that refuses to see their humanity.
This administration pushes the lie that immigrants are the threat. But the real damage is coming from the top. From policies that terrorize communities, normalize racial profiling, and turn daily life into survival mode. For those who say “just get the criminals first,” look up. The country is being driven into the ground by leadership that pardons criminals, protects abusers, and calls it law and order.
America loves to call itself the land of the free. The place of opportunity. The promise of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
What we are watching now is the land of the targeted.
Open season on human beings.
This has gone far beyond undocumented people. U.S. citizens are being assaulted, detained, and killed, while those on the wrong side of history cheer it on in the name of the law. There is nothing lawful, moral, or patriotic about terrorizing communities and calling it security.
History will remember who spoke up and who helped enforce the fear.

So yes, some of our choices can make people uncomfortable 👇
1️⃣ We allow physical play, with clear boundaries.
Strength and movement are guided, not shut down.
2️⃣ We don’t label normal boy energy as bad behavior.
We teach him how to use it, not hide it.
3️⃣ He does chores, because responsibility isn’t gendered.
Being capable at home is part of becoming a man of character.
4️⃣ We don’t hover or panic over every fall.
Resilience grows through manageable challenges.
5️⃣ We affirm his masculinity
We’ll say things like, “Thank you for helping, I appreciate your strong muscles,” while teaching that real strength includes self-control, kindness, and responsibility.
6️⃣ We teach respect for his sisters, the girls in his classroom, and the women around him, and we expect him to stand up for them.
Strength is meant to protect, not overpower.
7️⃣ We don’t raise him to start fights but we do teach self-defense.
Knowing when not to use strength matters just as much as knowing how.
8️⃣ We’re raising an emotionally strong boy, not a shut-down one.
A boy who can feel deeply (and cry) and still stand firmly in who he is.
This isn’t about being soft or harsh.
But raising a boy who knows how to feel, how to respect others, and how to stand on his own when life gets hard.
It’s about raising a man not just a boy.
And we’re okay if not everyone understands that.
