Over time, fat will accumulate in your muscles and liver causing you to become insulin resistant and you’ll notice belly fat (fat that is SO HARD to lose) accumulating. The way to shift your pre/post menopausal body into insulin sensitivity so you can start shedding belly fat is by a 3 tiered approach which I have laid out for you in my MenoMagic program: 1: Make small tweaks to your nutrition. Limit oils, highly processed food, and watch your daily intake of high fat foods. 2. Start walking/moving as much as you can. You want to increase your total daily non-exercise calories. 3. Living on coffee. → This spikes cortisol and slows your metabolic output. 2️⃣ Overdoing cardio and under-lifting More sweat doesn’t equal more fat loss. Without enough resistance training, your body has no reason to hold onto muscle — and muscle is what keeps your metabolism working. 3️⃣ Ignoring recovery Poor sleep. High stress. Always “on.” Your body will not burn fat if it feels unsafe. 4️⃣ Being inconsistent Dialed in Monday–Thursday. Unraveling Friday–Sunday. Your body responds to patterns, not intentions.
